Making the Switch to eVista™

OptiScaneVista™ has made it easy for companies to make the switch to eVista’s robust web-based document management solution.

New users have the option of importing documents and document batches using the eVista web interface, or may take advantage of our eVista Client Import Utility Suite for extra convenience and automation. The Import Utilities are perfect for processing documents scanned in the past or consolidating digital files from a variety of uncontrolled places into the easily accessible eVista environment. These utilities are free and only require the purchase of the Web Services option when purchasing the eVista Document Management System.

Windows 2000/XP - Download Now (requires installation of eVista Document Management System).

The Import Utility Suite includes:

eVista Import Launcher – A simple interface that easily determines the user’s needs by assisting with Import definition to quickly get your import system functional.

eVista Import Desktop Application - This easy-to-use interface enables document control managers to set up hot folders for importing document batches or individual documents. Using eVista’s web services, documents are automatically imported into the system with associated index data for easy search and retrieval.

eVista Import Service - This Windows service enables the same functionality of the Desktop Application to be run as a service in the background of any client machine on the network. Permanent public network folders for your organization can be set up as a “drop zone” for automatically importing documents into the eVista Document Management System as they are created.

eVista Batch Creation Utility - Allows batches of documents and associated index data (found in database or filename schema) to be packaged into an XML control file structure for batch import at any time using either of the above utilities. This utility can take any CSV file or database query and help you associate search data with documents and map the index data into eVista Search fields and Categories.

Connector Resources for eCopy Users:

eCopy Direct Connect to eVista - Allows users with office MFP’s to use the eCopy ShareScan kiosk to directly scan, index, and import into the eVista Document Management system using web services. This method is the most efficient way of getting scanned documents securely into a centralized location and immediately falls under pre-defined access control while minimizing the keying of index data right at the MFP location. View the eCopy / eVista Demo for more information. To take advantage of this solution, check your MFP model to see if it is eCopy-ready.
